SAC 6a, Phase 1: To flee or not to flee - Zingapore under attack
Zingaporeans, brace yourselves! The leader of the GI terror organization, Boh-sama Beng Larding, has warned that a cataclysmic terrorist attack on Zingpore is imminent. We need YOU to save us from the widespread panic that has ceased Zingapore!
Boh-sama insists that Zingapore does not stand a chance against an attack from the GI terror group, and has urged Zingaporeans to flee the country. Seeing similarities between Zingapore and Singapore, Zingapore’s Co-ordinating Minister for National Security, Dr Kayakumar has sought YOUR assistance in convincing Zingaporeans not to flee Zingapore in the face of danger!
In teams of two, research on the current issues and concerns in Singapore’s homeland security, to deepen your understanding of the situation, so that you may convince Zingaboreans to remain.
Your mission is to:
(SAC Team A)
Convince Zingaporeans that, Zingapore does not stand a chance against an attack from the GI terror group, and that leaving Zingapore for safer pastures is the best solution.
OR
(SAC Team B)
Convince Zingaporeans that Zingaporeans from all walks of life, that leaving Zingapore is not the best solution, and that Zingaporeans from all walks of life should stand united and face the threat together.

Our Stand:
Zingaporeans should leave the country for safety. It is the best solutions.
Zingaporeans should leave because as the terrorist destroyed iraq , zingapore will be next and if we wont escape then our fate will be the same as that of the iraq people.

Our Stand: Leaving Zingapore is not the best solution. Zingaporeans should stand united and face the threats.
Our Counter-argument:
if zingaporeans stand united they may become strong enough to fight against the terrorists and even capture the terrorists .
Furthermore,everyone has a responsibility in protecting the country.
But everyone also has a right to save their families, by sending them overseas, because if their families also stay to fight, their families will be harmed and neglected.
The whole family should help to fight against the GI terrorist together . When they are fighting against the terrorist, families are also part of the war.
But if they all fight them all of them will die together and there will not be anyone left in Singapore.
That is impossible, because zingapore has strong army defences.
Furthermore, not ALL will die together, because while the fight is going on, then maybe some of the zingaporeans may be overseas studying, working, or they may be on holiday, so even if the whole of Zingapore is destroyed, some of the country’s population will still be alive. So, Zingapore wouldn’t be totally wiped out. And so, some part of zingapore is left when thy return.
but after leaving zingapore, they cannot come back, because the country would be destroyed.
Valerie you are talking nonsense. the people who are on holiday, studying or working will not be able to'rebuild' zingapore, in addition, all this people onli make up about 1% of the population. only 1% left of the population will be usless
Sigapore mecame from 3rd world to 1st world by 1 man. why cant zingapore be built up from scratch again?
All the years of nation building and economic development would have gone to waste if only 1% of the population remains. We need much more to rebuild Zingapore. Our nation building and economic development was only posibble because of co-operation of everyone in the country.

i strongly disagree with hyhy:P because it is not because the only way of holding on to the nation building and economic development is to allow more of the citizens to live and if most of the population is killed because of the war all will be lost. by leaving the country the people will not die and can come back once the invation is over. this way more than 1% will survive and they can bring back what has been taught to them
i feel that there is no point in staying and fight, as if all zingaporeans left, there is no point to bomb zingapore
The terrorist attack could bring Zingaporeans together, just like SARS did.
Zingaporeans should defend their own rights and defend the nation. With a strong nation, the terrorist threats would be minimized.
Even if Zingaporeans stay on and fight, not the whole nation would be wiped out as the navy would be there to back the citizens up. It is not just the citizens that would be the ones who defend the nation. Allies from other countries can also help to defend our nation.0

i think that there is an invention called the bomb shelter... and if zingapore has its own army force (it should have because zingapore is similar to singapore, its a small country and needs an army force, thus will force people into national service :P)
not only we can fight back, other countries will be willing to be involved with us to attack the terrorists.
there is no point leaving the country due to several reasons.
1) where would you go to?
2) if your awnser to 1) is any neighbouring country, why cant the terrorists attack the neighbouring country as well?
3) if your awnser to 2) is because the terrosrists cannot put us such a big fight, then what makes you think they can handle singapore?
4) it is not possible to evacuate the whole country, even after we have fled to other countries, zingapore will still be destoryed! its a matter of u let them have it or u put up a fight and either win or lose it. this is our homeland, it is where we belong are we gonna just let people come, take go?
5) who is willing to do all the dirty work of reconstructing zingapore? you? i doubt.
6) look at it politically, if zingapore government were to run to USA and hide under George W. Bush's table, what would other country think of zingapore? (a weak, unable to protect itself, easy to overtake/bully, rely on USA) and what USA people will think? "zingaporeans are ball-less people, country tio attack first ting = run to fren house hide.. louya la... this kind of people *pooi*!" and if you are a zingaporean, you will feel hurt and regret why you did not stand up for your country and die, die in honour with pride and dignity. and USA can always rake up this event to threaten zingapore anytime they want and the UN will be unable to do anything about it.
7) if you are a person with no pride, dignity, honour, love for your homeland, resposibility for your own homeland then please by all means RUN AWAY!!!

Well, this is only Phase 1 Kendrick, so there will be Phase 2, when the teams will switch sides (for the reverse persepective phase, remember?).
