Mission Reassignment

Fellow Agents,

I'm afraid that I've been reassigned to a Priority One mission by "The Boss" - details of which, I am unable to divulge, at this juncture.

Cikgu Abdullah has therefore been sent by "The Boss" to lead you in your next mission, as I undertake my mission; but rest assured, I have every intention to return, upon the successful completion of this mission - contingent of course, upon my survival in this perilous mission codenamed "BachelorEdun".

Nevertheless, please continue to submit your posters, reworked photographs and poems, as a surprisingly large number of agents - especially from 1NB, 2NA, 2TD and 1TC have yet to submit them - failing which, you will be "terminated" (via your CA2 marks).

Dearest Greenviewans,

Rest assured - I did not "stop" teaching; in the words of the Terminator - I'll be back... stronger, meaner (and probably 10kg lighter)...

Dear Agents always remember to Dream, Believe, Achieve...

Signing off...

Is there any possible way to allow the "big boss" to allow you the come back??? i want you back... you are far better that Mr Abdulah. He make us do so hard things , eg paper cut. What the heck is that. That is not art , that is cutting of paper only. Some more , we all do like hell and then he only give us 50 - 60 marks , what the hell lor. at the most he only give us 70. Sigh , it will be my dream to have you back , Mr Lau , your lessons are more enjoy able , at least we do not have to suffer doing Mr Abdulah's things. I hope the "big boss" sees this and post you back again. Well it is gonna be a long year with Mr Abdulah.

Dear 2NCian,

I'm fine thank you - couldn't be better. What about you and your classmates?

I thoroughly enjoyed my teaching (and learning) experience at GVSS, and hope to be able to return soon.

I'm sure Mr Abdullah would be glad to hear your suggestions and feedback, if you'd just let him know which Art media you enjoy and hope to explore (just as all of you suggested to me), and see how it goes from there.

You probably enjoyed the Digital Art lessons, because you knew what you wanted to learn, and dared to tell me.

The constructive feedback and suggestions I received on my blog, further helped me decide to integrate the themes and activities, which I was confident that most students would enjoy.

Why don't you similarly provide constructive feedback and suggestions to Mr Abdullah as well? How can Mr Abdullah possibly know what you like and dislike, if you do not tell him?

If you are afraid to tell him personally, you could leave a note on his table or his letter box, and I'm sure he'll appreciate your suggestions.

Till then, all the best Greeviewans, and remember to always.... dream, believe, achieve.

Dear Anonymous,

Thanks for the compliments - but Cikgu Abdullah is a far more experienced educator that I am.

I would have had to introduce you to more traditional forms of Art, had I taught you for the rest of the semester - I can't possibly teach Digital Art for the entire year.

I'm glad Cikgu Abdullah is giving you the exposure in such a variety of Art forms - it's important that you experience as many as possible.

If you'd like Cikgu Abdullah to let you try other media, why don't you politely say so? You could alternatively drop a note on his table or in his letterbox, stating your suggestions for the next lesson.

Teachers are always willing to listen - but you must not be afraid to speak up of course.

Till we meet again, never stop dreaming, believing, achieving...

Dear 1e2 gurl,

I will swing by Greenview this week, to submit your marks - once I've graded all 520 x 3 assignments.

Gosh, I never expected it to take this long to mark all 1560 individual submissions.

Dear 1e2 gurl & fizzayfaker,

I did swing by GV, but it was 9pm by the time I arrived (all the way from NTU, in Jurong West) after my last lesson, which ended at 7:30pm.

I was surprised to see digital media left behind for me to mark, so I had to bring them back and will have to add the marks to my Teacher's Record Book over the next few days and return to GV with the complete set of marks, probably next week.

I've several major assignments to submit this week, so I might not be able to drop by GV this week.

Yes, yes, it's now my turn to submit assignments to my professors at the Institute, so I'll be tied up over the next few days.

I never expected marking the work of 520 students (amidst my lectures and tutorials at the Institute) to take this long, so please be patient - juggling work and studies is way tougher than I had previously thought! How I admire the teachers doing their part-time Masters in Education, as they continue teaching in the day.

One Bright and sunny saturday, I went ape when i heard that Grandma promised to take to the wet market as had the thought going there in donkey's years.
When i went there, I got to see her horse trading.
While she was busy horse trading we heard a thunderous clatter. We were curious and went to see. Then we found out that that butcher had owe loan sharks money as he was ratted out on by his friends.
